The Department of Computer Engineering Technology was established in 2012 and began accepting students in the 2013-2014 academic year. This was done to keep pace with the rapid advancements in computer and information technology, software, computer networks, the Internet, and the significant developments in software industries related to information technology, which have become prominent features of national economies. The department accepts graduates of secondary school (scientific branch - biology and applied sciences), as well as graduates of industrial secondary schools and technical institutes in corresponding technical specializations. The program lasts four years, and the language of instruction is English. Upon completion, graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology, equivalent to degrees awarded in the same specialization by similar government colleges. The department operates under a twinning agreement with the Middle Technical University in the corresponding specialization and has achieved high rankings in previous years in scientific rigor examinations .
